Hymne à l’Humanité

Hymne à l’Humanité is a work for concert band (Grade 4), mixed choir and children’s choir, based on a text by Maurice Bouchor, enriched with original passages.

Conceived as a true hymn, the work celebrates the universal values that bring people together: peace, fraternity, solidarity and hope. The choral parts play a central role throughout the composition, while the concert band surrounds the voices with a warm and expressive palette of sound, adding depth, color and brilliance to the message carried by the singers.

The combination of mixed choir and children’s choir creates a rich variety of colors and gives the work a strong symbolic dimension. This makes Hymne à l’Humanité particularly suited to collaborative projects bringing together several ensembles around a deeply humanistic message.

The work has not yet been performed in concert. A revision could be undertaken in collaboration with the ensemble or organization preparing the premiere, allowing the score to be refined in response to the artistic requirements of the project and to support its first performance.
